NEW DELHI - The weatherman has forecast a pleasant warm day Wednesday with slight mist, which will be good news for those who head to Rajpath to watch the colourful Republic Day parade.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), “The sky will be clear with slight mist enveloping the morning with sunshine, but there are no chances of fog.”

Absence of fog will mean that viewers will get to witness the magnificent flypast involving the Indian Air Force’s sleek aircraft IL-78, two AN-32, two Dorniers, five Jaguars, five MiG-29 and three SU-30 MKIs.

It was another warm day that began with a slightly misty morning Tuesday. The maximum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius, a degree above average, while the minimum was 8.8 degrees, two notches below average for this time of the season.

The maximum and minimum temperature for Wednesday are expected to be around 23 and 7 degrees respectively, the weatherman said.
