Bright, pleasant day in Delhi

NEW DELHI - It was a pleasant day in the capital Sunday as the winter sun shone brightly and the maximum temperature stayed three degrees below average.

The maximum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal (average), while the minimum was 12.6 degrees Celsius, normal (average) for this time of the season, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The humidity levels fluctuated between a high of 100 percent and a low of 59 percent, the official added.

According to the IMD, Monday afternoon will be clear but a cloudy sky is expected in the evening. However, there is no prediction of showers.

There will be fog early morning which shall give way to a clear afternoon once the sun comes out. The maximum and minimum temperatures should hover around 25 and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively, the official said.
