Pleasant Saturday in Delhi, rain threat looms

NEW DELHI - It was a pleasant, sunny day in the capital Saturday, with the maximum temperature staying below average levels. However, the city may experience showers late Saturday and Sunday, the weather office said.

There are chances of rain towards the night, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Delhi recorded 10.3 mm of rain till Saturday morning. However, no rainfall was recorded during the day.

The day’s maximum temperature dipped three notches below average at 22.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature stayed at average level at 12.1 degrees.

Sunday will remain partly cloudy, with light fog in the morning and possibility of showers later in the day.

Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 25 and 10 degree Celsius, respectively, the official said.
