NEW DELHI - A sunny morning brought cheer to Delhiites Saturday as the minimum temperature rose considerably after the intense chill the city saw last week.
The minimum temperature recorded Saturday morning was 10 degrees Celsius, almost three notches above average, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
An IMD official said the sky could turn partly cloudy, but ruled out chances of rainfall.
“Earlier we had forecast rains, but now there are not much chances for rainfall to occur. Some areas in the northern plains have received some rain and hail in the past few days. But Delhi will be dry and the temperature is likely to rise further in the coming days,” the official said.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 20 degree Celsius while the minimum could settle at seven degrees, he added.
