Tremors felt in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL - Light tremors were felt in the Lakhnadon area of Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district Tuesday, an official said. No casualty or damage was reported.

The tremor at 12.53 p.m lasted a few seconds and measured 3.5 on the Richter scale.

Seoni is over 300 km from state capital Bhopal.

“The quake did not create any problem,” Seoni Collector Manohar

Dubey told IANS.

According to India Meteorological Department, it was a slight intensity quake. Its epicentre was at Jabalpur, 60 km from a place where a quake had struck in 1997.
